beef tallow is very good for this c diet.
I do not think butter is great but that may depend on your goals.
For some reason it is very hard to get anyone to speak on-line about the issues you will most likely have with an actual carnivore diet. It is 99% fantastic according to everyone. Even though most folks get bad liquid bowel movements, dehydration, cramps and other things. It can also take months to fat adapt so you may have lethargy.

I am not sure calling it the carnivore diet is the best idea , you really do want some green veg spinach , broccoli , cauliflower , celery , cucumbers , cabbage, lettuce , chard , collards , bulky greens to regulate your BM a simple way to think of wat you should be eating is , if you can't grow it and pick it and make it food by cutting it or cooking it , you shouldn't eat it or if it takes a modern factory to make it , Don't eat it I would go so far as to say even maple syrup would be fine in moderation if you were the one trekking the woods collecting buckets the issue is these high energy fuel sources have become the staple of the modern diet and not the treat. also we aren't likely the ones collecting buckets and cooking down the sap and it gets put on a pile of flap jacks that already have refined sugar in the batter. even French toast isn't what it once was it morffed it's roots were the old bread cut or ripped up and soaked in cream and an egg then beaten and fried in a skillet with a little butter or lard. that was bread made from a flour ground in a grist mill there was no sugar added it was typically served with butter or creme' fresh basically a very mild sour cream real bread made from whole wheat freshly ground isn't bad if your walking everywhere or tending fields all day and going to use that energy it was a great food source for storage , the issue is it became bastardized and made a staple food , pushing cereal grains and sugar in everything because it was cheap to mechanize, store and distribute , we got 3-4 times the energy we needed in a day.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

an actual carnivore diet is zero carbs. no veggies, fruits, nuts, breads, grains or beans....no carbs at all...that is an actual carnivore diet.

Yup, no black and white system. But a diet like these have rules or your not doing the actual diet. Which is fine by me. You want to eat a burger and steak every day and call yourself a vegetarian have at it.......but your not a vegetarian. Maybe in your mind.

A carnivore diet is a good way to heal your body from diabetes and heart disease and works wonders for autoimmune diseases. Jordan Peterson and his daughter both eat a carnivore diet because its all they can eat without terrible problems. It even Included clearing up mental issues with his daughter. It works for clearing up many types of skin diseases like eczema. There are several doctors are on the carnivore diet some for many years.
If you go full carnivore you better eat organ meats like liver, heart tongue to get your vitamin c.
I am in a perfect situation to eat a carnivore diet. I can walk out the door and go out in the pasture and kill a free cow moose as easy as any farmer can do in his own field, Moose meat is the most nutritious meat on the planet.
That said, if all a persons goals are to get healthy from being overweight, type II diabetes, HBP, joint pain or even better mental health doing a diet that is not too extreme and can still eat until they are full and not starve at all and get pretty much the same results, and have a diet they can live with and stick to, then a low carb diet is all you need to get healthy.
Vegetables and fruit are overrated but it will give you a bit of pleasure and selection and that's important so you can stay with it. You could probably starve yourself of carbs for a day and then have a desert if that would make you happy and willing to stick to your diet.
If a person just gives up rice, potatoes, and bread you would see a big change..

If a person just gives up rice, potatoes, and bread you would see a big change.. That is an excellent summary of the best reasons to do a strict carnivore diet for at lest 3-4 months....unfortunately most folks do not have the ability to control what they eat. Strict carnivore is a no carb limit diet so you cannot be starving your body while doing it. Your just letting your emotions tell you that you need to satisfy them....the mind needs to be stronger than the emotions and a sensible period of conversion to a major dietary change is usually best for weaker folks to achieve a period of sustainability. After a fairly long period of strict carnivore you can add back in one type of food at a time and see how your body does on it. Maybe an apple a day and some hard cheese..if you eat that and start to have hunger cravings shortly after it may be a good idea to drop it. One of the best things I like about strict carnivore is that I can go longer periods of time without eating and not be hungry. no need to have food or energy bars with me always....and if I start to get hungry I just tell myself I will eat soon enough. Started to keep some hard cheese in a cooler in the vehicle because I usually do not eat anything but some tallow in my coffee until late day. Usually 2 meals but sometimes one or none.....but that goes by my hunger caused by my body needing food not my emotions looking for satisfaction. If you can stop eating because you want emotional gratification or it is 'time' to eat your a long way to getting a handle on things. Strict carnivore naturally leads into intermittent fasting if you actually do carnivore. You start doing the my way carnivore and you will not see the same amount of benefits. Right before I started carnivore 7/1 my total t was 490, two weeks ago it was 888. My thyroid was 7.5 and two weeks ago it went to 2.4. My blood platelet was off and also self corrected...now I have had some issues and have not worked out much the last 8 weeks so my t should have dropped...plan to keep monitoring my blood work every few months...

what else do you eat besides pork rinds, for a snack Thats all for now Roy. But only eat a snack once a day....not really hungry much now. I eat 2 meals a day of beef ,pork or chicken or fish. No oils just nuke em. Lots of ice water Im open to successful carnivore users ideas.

I do not think butter is great but that may depend on your goals.
For some reason it is very hard to get anyone to speak on-line about the issues you will most likely have with an actual carnivore diet. It is 99% fantastic according to everyone. actually the standard american diet is good for no one. Agreed, was much healthier in asia and with leukemia 15 yrs and drs in usa wanting me on dialysis in 2008 i think asia prolonged my life.
