What has been the best weather in your experience to get deer moving and coming to your stand? And what time of year in your area does the rut seem to start?

Do you use any attractants ?

Early rut starts here about October 20. Cold front always get deer moving. As far as attractants, I use salt blocks and scraps within bow range of my stand

Guess it all depends on what you’re using to get them to your stand. What kind of deer density you have. And where the stand is located.
My stands are in drains here with acorns. Deer on camera all day long and all night, lol. I run deer off going in every time.
Our rut won’t start for another few weeks or more. I already have two scrapes near one of my stands and the other is more of a funnel.

The rut is the same time every year....like said, cold fronts are great. It doesn't matter the temp either for hunting the fronts. Hunt the deer where they are and don't just sit in a stand and wait. I use no scents or attractants.
