A China-linked Bitcoin mine in Wyoming is drawing security concerns due to its close proximity to a Microsoft data center and an Air Force base that controls nuclear missiles. In a confidential August 2022 report to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, Microsoft warned that the mine could allow the Chinese to 'pursue full-spectrum intelligence collection operations,' the New York Times reported on Friday. The Bitcoin operation, which has an opaque web of ownership but is linked to at least one Chinese company, is directly across the street from a secure Microsoft data center that supports the Pentagon, and about a mile away from F.E. Warren Air Force Base, home to the 90th Missile Wing. Since China's ban on Bitcoin mines in 2021, Chinese companies have increasingly looked to the US as a base for the operations, which use buildings full of powerful computers to earn tokens for processing cryptocurrency transactions. While many mines may simply be moneymaking ventures, their vast computing power and huge energy requirements are raising concerns with defense experts that they could be used for spying, or a coordinated disruption of the electrical grid. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...in-Wyoming-Cheyenne-energy-security.html

I never understand what a bitcoin mine is when even a bitcoin isn’t real , nothing to back it with . Just like our currency.

Doesn't matter where its at. If its a threat it could be located anywhere.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

One of my sons bought like $100 worth of Doge in early 2021. Paid for his tuition the next semester AND a rifle when he got out of it a couple months later. He didn't unload at peak, but close enough, AND he missed the catastrophic collapse. Thar said, I don't understand it, but figure if The Gov is against it, I.should be all for it, lol

The chinks have no honor at all, and can't be trusted with anything. You send them tooling to make a Widget for your co. and when the order is filled, they will run the crap out of those parts and go into direct competition with you at seriously reduced prices, USING YOUR TOOLING!

Beware! Jill Pudlewski, Ron Oates and Keven Begesse are liars and thiefs!
