… my oldest is a menace at linebacker and won’t let anybody take his picture … my youngest thinks he’s 7’ 300 lbs and it’s scares his momma watching him

.. anyway Big Bud and Jesse Henry are both on first place coldspring teams at the moment

.. Jesse’s team beat the only other undefeated team today in double overtime and Bud’s team is undefeated in district

I LOVE football, our school, unfortunately, sucks at sports.

Girls held my interest way more then football.

Proud dad as you should be. Love watching kids play any sports.

Lower the shoulder and hit them harder, I’m still good friends with most that I played football with, there were times that it helped me stay focused it school as I didn’t want to become ineligible and let my team down, also lifting weights helped me build strength that I still use to this day.

… you get to wear that jersey in school on Friday though… girls like that

Loved the game, just didn't have the urbanite speed or the corn fed body a white boy needed to go far.
If I ain't kicked the bucket by the age for them to play I sure will enjoy seeing the grandkids play.

… I had the same problem lol … I was decent corner till I quit growing and them boys running the sweep kept getting bigger lol

As a half back running routes I loved freezing the corner when I ran my route, that is until I ran into his linebacker buddy Tyrone....lol

Loved playing and love watching the grandson play. He’s a sophomore playing linebacker but out now for rest of this season with a dislocated knee cap

I always wished I went to a school that had a football program. Went to a k-12 that had 190 students. I stood 6'1" and was 240#of farm work. Couldn't play baseball cause the fish would start biting and I'd quit the team.

…. Yeah J …playing football in the old cotton growing country got a little tougher after about 65 according to the old man lol

… you’d have been a hand for sure.. and sports definitely screw up hunting and fishing at times.. so you likely made out alright

Really enjoy kids and high school football good for you you should be proud of them

Football: I played a LOT of pickup/sandlot type football. It was great. I loved football. When I got to high school I played the bench for the first year even though I knew I was better than the other guy but he was the coach's son. The next year the same thing except that the kid got hurt. They put me in and I demolished the other team. But as soon as the coach's son was better he started. The next year I did not go out for football. Neither did my best friend at the time. The principal called both of us into the office and asked why were not playing. He said you know both of you would start and play all the time. We told him to stick it where the sun don't shine. That was the end of my football career. I was really good at it and tough as nails. I should have transferred to a different school but I was a foster child and had no direction. I know I was college material and possibly even better.
Only regret I ever had in school. I hated that school. The school hated me.

Football is ok. I was a hockey player.
