My Granddaughter didn't get a deer this year during the youth hunt
but we did have fun hunting together.

My buddy's wife sat with their #2 daughter this year so I didn't get to go. The oldest passed a forkhorn the first day and that was the only buck they saw. At least they were hunting!

I have a young gal in my charge for a western hunt coming up and as giddy as she is for the adventure, I think I’m even more wound up than she is. Some other great people are involved as well, good times ahead.

Apple juice. Actually, in hindsight I wish I had put a simple swing valve in the hose. Open it when you use it and close it the rest of the time to eliminate odors.

Memories

On my next one I am going for the gold. The lower portion below the floor will also be enclosed. It will have an outhouse on the lowest level along with the heater so that the floor is the warmest part.
