The story in Michigan is the same all over the country. There are 83 counties in Michigan,17 of them went to Whitmer so 66 counties didn't want her.But the 17 counties that did included the Detroit,Flint,Saginaw,Bay City,Lansing areas and their suburbs.Heavily urban areas that always tend to vote blue, then throw in the fact the Republican party in this state can't get its act together. The last candidate for governor,Tudor Dixon was a good choice but with little money,A party that's a mess and the news media trashing her multiple times a day while gushing over Whitmer like she's a queen and she didn't stand a chance. Plus Dixon had about 10 parties running against her on her platform if those votes had gone her way whitmere would have been out

As like any other government agency, the EPA does not have money for a grant. They get the money they distribute from the tax payers. As I said earlier, the government needs 32 trillion bucks to be able to call all of us flat broke. Thats the tab they have run up without the permission of the people that end up having to pay for it. The whole thing is going to come to a grinding halt in about 6 to 8 years anyway. At that point there will not be enough young working folks paying into the pot that the government is shoveling out of and throwing it in each every direction. Then the US will end up like Greece did a few years ago, just worse as there is no one there to cover for this country and china will want its investments back. Then we will have a permanent government shut down and shrink the whole inflated beast back down to size. its going to get messy but it is inevitable. The least of our worries the is if the school busses that won't run are electric or not.

Its like a vegan eating a t bone steak when one is looking. To be honest, EV's usually get charged using coal as the primary energy source. The whole " zero emissions " thing is utter BS . The emissions just come out away from the vechile through a big exhaust stack on a power station. There is no such thing as a free lunch

What was the turn out in those counties? Part of the problem in all states is abysmal voter turn outs.

The odds of kids burning up in busses is small. The odds of parents having to drive their kids to school in gas powered cars is highly probable.
How do you heat a bus in the winter? Hook a resistant load to a battery and get back to me on battery charge life. lol
As wimpy as children are today they will be in moms warm gas car. Guarantee it! lol

Seems like a school could buy a whole fleet of 5.9 cummins diesel buses for 30k, they wouldn't be new and shiny though. A 5.9 comon man I’d want at least a 3406 CAT in there so you can smoke them tires. As far as this choice, it is how he government get communities hook on the federal tax roll because most people will vote for the 30000 and the rest of us will pay for it.

Horse faced Hochul's agendas, no gas stoves to cook, no gas or diesel engines, slow or stop gun / ammo sales & soon wood stoves & outdoor boilers. I drove bus for a school district here in the Adirondacks that did not have a indoor garage for the busses, I can imagine a electric bus setting all night & starting in the morning, Diesel's had enough problems starting plugged in all night. School taxes will be rising with these purchases, not sure of the life span of the batteries, but how about the replacement costs. Even if the busses are garaged, if one doe's happen to catch fire, the hole fleet is gone. not a very smart agenda.

Sounds like voters in NY and other places like MI are getting exactly what they voted for. So,,,you voted for Biden?

Not a chance. There are 114 counties in MO and Trump won 111 of them........twice. County I'm from voted for Trump 8:1.
But MO has very limited vote by mail elections. Those of you in states where vote by mail is common or wide spread need to get rid of vote by mail if you want to enact any changes. And no, pretty certain YOU didn't vote for him either, but the way your elections are run your vote no longer matters.
Once again, do a search for "jay valentine american thinker" and see what he has to say about vote by mail scams. Start with the one about 3rd from the top. He thinks he has the solution. He doesn't. Only solution to what ails your states is to ban vote by mail entirely and require a real live qualified voter to show up and vote. Do that and things might change. Fail to do that and get used to it.
Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.

So basically we have government run schools, the state taxes us plenty, and then says this is how your going to run your school, right down to the curriculum, or we won’t give you any of the money we collected for school tax. The taxpayers and school board have no say, communist. For the most part our school board and administrators are all in on it, they all live in a bubble.

Update, the grant proposal was voted down 167 yes 248 no. But don’t worry school administers will bring it back for another vote until they get it passed, just like the budget. You've got that right. It will be brought back again and again, like a referendum until the taxpayers cave.

Out here several school districts opted to get some grant for these AA battery busses. All over the news a while back. What wasn’t disclosed , of course, was the fact that the schools that accepted had to destroy two diesel powered busses to qualify. Could not sell, part out, or trade in, had to be destroyed. Tells ya all ya need to know about these loonies! Unfortunately it will take one of these busses being stranded in a blizzard out here and some kids freezing to death before help can arrive to have people open their eyes to the limits of batteries up here. Just guessing if the wheels aren’t spinning, gonna be a short time before the heater isn’t working.

These had to be busses that were part of the fleet the prior year btw, not something pulled out of a grove or junkyard.
