That's when I just got started. My first fox was $80 and a big coon was around $40 -$50. Mink ran around $35 same with the coyote.

I wasn't trapping coyotes in those days but hunted some and was getting $45 up to $85 around that time. Nutria was my bread and butter. Was averaging around $12 in '79.

Late 70s I trapped 2 1/2 weeks. Caught 92 coyotes and averaged $96. Went and bought a half ton chevy 4x4 and paid cash from my fur check

Not that I remember, back in the late 50's early 60's the bounty in the county's where I live was $2.50 when you brought the ears to the court house. They did away with the bounty system in the later 60's

Coyotes were very rare in this part of Wisconsin back then, but red fox were plentiful. Fox were averaging in the mid 70s.
