Good evening folks, beaver season is here, Gerry set 10 traps on the first, our season opener, he had 8 beaver today, plus he got a grouse for dinner, skinner man has work now, anyone else trapping beaver? Let’s see some pics and share some tips.

Set a few traps on the 20th oct. checked 4 times got 33 beaver and some other fur.
I like to get about 6 to 8 each check,that way I dont get swamped with skinning and I have time to run sets for other species as well.
The beaver aint going anywhere and the season here is about 7 months,lol.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

This fall I got a dozen hanging and 4 kits I’m gonna tan and make something with. Not sure what yet. Like Boco said, just getting started. Waters stiff now but found a spot in my travels today to drop one under the ice.

I picked up 10 in the past few days but pulled due to our deer firearm season starting Saturday. Will hit it again afterwards.

Today will probably be my big hurrah as I just have to much on my plate to spend 12 hour days chasing beavs.I’ll keep chipping through.That beav really did a number on that brand new stabilizer.
