Since last week major banks and mortgage companies were hacked yet very little coverage especially on the mortgage company. Major banks can't make the deposit transactions. Mortgage company Mr. Cooper/ Lakeview mortgage sent an email 11/2 saying " On October 31st, Mr. Cooper became the target of a cyber security incident and took immediate steps to lock down our systems in order to keep your data safe. As the parent company that services your mortgage, they are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Rest assured, you will not incur any fees, penalties or negative credit reporting related to late payments as we work to fix this issue."

Mr Cooper holds over 4m mortgages

Wonder who is behind all these cyber attacks lately? Why are there so many so often now?

I thought my bank account got hacked the other day, but I was mistaken. Missed my X marks the spot on my financial statement map by 2 foot When I was digging up a mason jar to make a withdrawal.

My bank chain closed all their functions for 3 days for "routine maintenance" for the first time in nearly 30 years of having an account there.

At my local banks, anything over 2k is hit or miss. I recently had two checks, one for 3500 and one for 7700. That day they had to check to see if they could cash the small one, and I had to wait 9 days to cash the other. missed their "order" day and the delivery day was a week and a couple days later.

I'd be looking for a different bank

I edited my post, but couldn't remember the exact days I waited.

They only keep so much cash, order on Tuesdays for the next weeks delivery of cash. I went in a day late to get on the next delivery.

But yes White, all our banks here can be drained of cash in no time.

are they Fed member banks ? The Philly Fed must keep close watch on those smaller banks

The big woke bank out of OR that took over the bank in N. ID that I used to use, were hacked big time right as they were making the take over , during those two days.

I had taken my accounts entirely out of that bank and changed to a local, very nice bank in MT . Just before the hack. Love my new small town bank. They welcomed me like family. They've never asked for a bailout in all their years. They aren't investing in woke philosophies. So far, so good...
