Just wondering if anyone knows where I can find a breech plug tool like the one pictured [Linked Image]
It’s for a T/C Triumph I can’t seem to find any in stock.

they do look to be sold out all over the place

very simple to make , some stock of the right thickness and a grinder you could have one made

a spanner wrench of the right diameter would also have you set actually an adjustable spanner would probably work also.

if you only put it in finger tight which is all the tighter it needs to be and you use anti seize and don't shoot it 50 rounds before cleaning , you probably only need your fingers

I anti seize all my breech plugs and putting them in even if they have a hex head I go in snug back off 1/4 turn then just till it bottoms out maybe 3 inch pounds of torque , just finger tight

I take them out and clean them after every hunt or range trip.

it can't walk back with the lever closed because it would run into the hammer lift assembly and the hammer lift assembly shouldn't close if it isn't all the way in

you don't need to crank down on breech plugs for inline guns , they need thread engagement and that is all so as long as finger tight is all the way in it should be all you need.

also if you really need one https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1017914583

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Thanks Pete I completely understand the finger tight, anti seize, and 3-5 shots and clean. Fingers don’t quite get it tight enough for the primer to go on and action to lock shut. I figured if I couldn’t come across a factory wrench I’d make one. Thanks for the Gunbroker link I couldn’t come up with any on there, you got the search right.

I have almost exclusively Traditions muzzleloader but when I need a part or tool I call them directly and they fix me right up.

You could try calling Thompson center, they might surprise ya, or maybe not but its a shot.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.
