Was it a male or a female?

An older Tom just past prime but not real old by the look of his teeth.
He was well fed and carried a good bit of fat.Probably eating off the grouse boom here this year.
Much different animal than a lynx.Smaller, shorter legged, shorter fur but more stocky build, although smaller than a lynx the bobcat is noticeably much heavier weight, bigger head, dark colour meat compared to lynx' noticeably smaller blackish feet, much smaller claws and a longer tail.No ruffs on the face to speak of compared to the long ruffs on a lynx face, and the eyes appeared bigger in the skull when skinned. The eyeholes in the pelt were also bigger. Also the jaw muscles were heavier formed and bulged more than the lynx jaw muscles.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Interesting, thanks for the comp!

They go where the food is. They don’t know nor care what north or south is or any other compass point.

Nice catch Boco. Weight wise the Minnesota state record bobcat is just under 60 pounds.

The skull should be worth something too. It’s crazy how many people want skulls when they find out you trap.
I spotted a cat a few years ago one summer near my line, not sure if it was a Bob or lynx. Piles of rabbits & chickens the last couple years here.

Wind Blew, crap flew, out came the line crew

BEAUTIFUL CAT! Bobcats have really moved into our province since I was a kid-in the past 5 years or so there have been alot more caught than ever before.
