Has anyone else had issues with the wolf gang anchors not sliding off the driver? Every set so far it’s been a battle.

Did you try a different driver?

I seem to recall an issue with them being discussed on one of the steeltraps threads. If memory serves it was due to different makes being slightly out of spec. Seems like steeltraps said he had to take a file and open up the notch but I may be recalling it wrong. You might shoot him a PM or maybe he'll weigh in here.

I took a file after mine and took off any burrs or rough edges from use.

I've heard of sandy ground packing between the anchor and driver and causing them to stick. I guess you either file a little or call the supplier and see what they suggest.

Only time I have had that issue was when dirt built up on the notch on the driver. Have had problem with the end of a super stake driver mushrooming out and stick in the super stake, but I blame that on the cheap driver I was using.

Thanks everyone. There were a few really bad burrs in the channel. I filed them down and will see how it works tomorrow.

The burrs on the driver are probably the cause. Driver grooves seem to take some abuse. Maybe using a flame hardening steel for the driver and hardening the end and anneal would solve the problem.

I had my son machine a new one out of harden steel but he did it with to tight of tolerances. The wolf fang still sticks. Need to have some material taken out of the grooves make it a little loose in the driver.

Same here, worth every penny. Going into my 3rd year with the same driver after averaging two a year with other ones.
