That just shows that they can clean up the fentanyl problem whenever they want. It's all allowed on purpose. What they did is just move them from SF to Oakland, and Oakland was already zombie land. They will be moved back to SF after Xi leaves to continue the degradation and destruction.

Fentanyl is a drug given to the dying. Its allowed to come across our open border from China by the ton. Its no accident. They want as many dead as possible. No one is stopping it.

Bidens globalist puppet masters are pushing for the destruction of the US before the next election. Hold on, its going get crazy. Probably put it in the water yet.

So the cartels were making big money running wacky weed from Mexico to Chicago in the name of free enterprise. Then someone decides our penal system is costing too much. Legalize the weed and even make a profit by taxing it. Now the out of work cartel workers need work. Fentanyl is their new crop.

In what world has making drugs illegal slowed their use?

Yes it got worse in cities where its not prosecuted. Most of those zombies sleeping on the sidewalk are from someplace else. Went there to be left alone.

You can NOT protect people from them selves.

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Taxing the heck out of it thinking it'll bring in a ton of money in tax revenue is a joke. Well it's a 509 million joke on Wa. state then.

Some of y'all plainly want a nanny state where the government dictates what you and others can buy and consume.

Freedom can hurt a bit. Some of us are OK with that.

Couldn't agree with you more on less laws. That means a much lower need for lawyers.

But, as obvious, lawyers do not live in reality.

Give me one, just one, benefit to legalizing recreational use of illicit drugs. That means taking the drugs with the determined outcome of getting high.

How does that benefit our society and make it safer? You did read the OP's original article, right?

Making it legal didn't change the user's it just let them come out in the open. Now they are seen more. Thay were there all along. Stop saving them whan they od and the problem will solve its self.

Name one thing that making them illegal had had a positive benefit on. Maybe you like assit forfeiture, prissions full of non violent offenders so thay let the rapest and murders out early, the militarization of the police force, or any of the other million things the war on drugs has created. It sure has not stoped drug use . The war on drugs is really a war on you. Travel with 10k cash on you or ever 5k and see how you like trying to get it back after the cop that pulls you over for a burnt out light when he sees it in the glove box when you get your registration.

Drugs are bad for society but giving up your freedom is much worse.

Good post PF. I wonder what guns the Nanny State types on TMan think I should be prohibited from buying.

Guns can be misused. Guns can be dangerous. Guns can kill people. Come on--protect me!

Recreational gun use doesn't hurt society. It makes it stronger.

Freedom is messy and people are imperfect (drug use being the imperfection at hand). We can either try to legislate people's imperfections away and live under tyranny, or we can except that freedom comes with some things we don't like.

"Most State governments collect little property tax revenue. It is a local tax primarily and will never be eliminated by pot smoking, gambling, drinking, or tobacco smoking sin taxes.

"State governments collected $19 billion from property taxes in 2020, or 1 percent of state general revenue. In contrast, property taxes are one of the largest sources of revenue for local governments. Local governments collected $581 billion in property taxes in 2020, or 30 percent of local general revenue."
