I have used 100 grain nosler ballistic tips in both 25-06 since they came out. 1 700# wild angus and dozens of deer have told me to not change. Most drop and a few deer may have made it 50 yards. The wild angus was a 100 yard frontal brain bomb.
Get the US out of the UN and the UN out of the US.

Me too, I consider them to be a premium bullet, in certain calibers. 165gr out to 300yds are deadly on deer and hogs. They’re probably deadly pass that, just haven’t shot any farther. Of course shot placement helps as well, but through the thermal I’ve shot through on hogs and hit another enough to be deadly. Also did the Texas heart shot on one running away and she flipped end over end and never moved again. There was no exit on that one though, lol. All shot with Ruger .308’s.

Me too, I consider them to be a premium bullet, in certain calibers. Yep, like most things hunting, especially for whitetails, people just can't wait to spend money on the newest, bestest gadget. Like I said on another post, putting it in a good spot is most critical!
There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

There is a bunch of science involved in bullet construction. For the most part, the manufactures get it right, and the literature is out there. The problems start when the reloader or consumer lets price, high or low, dictate what they buy and take to the woods. Just because a box of ammo is in your caliber, and costs $100 a box, doesn’t mean it was designed for use on Whitetails in your back forty. Do your homework before you pull the trigger. That $20 box of .30-30 may be exactly what you need.

Me too, I consider them to be a premium bullet, in certain calibers. Me too, me too. Remington Core-Loct may look ugly and vary considerably in weight but they'll sure lay a whitetail down. I use to buy them pretty cheap from Cabels's or Midway, cheap enough you could target practice and plink with them but I haven't seen them around in a while. I've got one bag of 100 left. Guess I better hoard them back for hunting.
