I think this might be a more regional thing , when you get 1 buck tag every 5 years I can see hunting racks more

when any land owner who lets you on their property says killumall I can't drive to the store without nearly hitting 3 on the way there at 5pm

we had 50 tags in camp this last weekend 4 doe tags and a buck each

I feel no shame for shooting a 3 point , it was a good body size I was filling freezer tags , deer need to die in this location.

any dead deer is a benefit

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I used to carry a knife at all times until I started working at a chemical, fertilizer plant one of the worst thing you can do is use your knife to open a chemical jug then put it back in your pocket also fertilizer rusts things up pretty quick, so I quit carrying one so I don’t have the temptation to use it.

Man or woman in public in their pajamas is a sign of extreme laziness. Morbidly obese women in stretch pants is a mystery to me as well.

My EDC knife is a clip-on, never even know it's there. My EDC is the handiest, most used tool I probably have. I use it every day. Having it is not an obsession, it's normal.

give me a couple of examples of what you use it every day for if you don't mind. I'm serious, I can't see what I'd ever use one for.

Piece of mind for when I have to go somewhere that doesn't allow me to pack a gun, or for general stabin when I don't want to make any noise. Doesn't happen every day, but which day will it happen? I will be repaired. Short pants wearing, nose ring having, empty pockets, hair bun boy will likely be bleeding out that day.

You probably won't like me much then! Deer season for me is one weekend a year. A small buck fills the freezer just as well as a big one.

I agree 110% I saw the antler obsession many years ago and how it was changing our hunting. I went without a lot over the years to buy my own hunting, trapping and fishing property. I put meat in the freezer as quick as I can, I have traps to set and check and fall run steelhead to catch. A young buck eats well, if not better than an old rutted up buck. I have taken big bucks and small. the old ones make sausage the young ones chops and steaks. If I don't have my Case Trapper in my pocket, it's my Leatherman Core on my belt.

you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

I carry a clip on and although I don't use it every day, I use it enough to make it worth carrying. A few recent examples: I was moving treestands with my daughter a few days ago, one of them had been set up for a long time and there was no way the ratchet strap was coming loose, had to either cut it, gnaw through it with my teeth or come back with a knife on another day.

I noticed I had gotten some paint on my sneakers yesterday before I left to go to Thanksgiving dinner. I used my knife to scrape it off.

I use it quite a bit to cut the shrink wrap off bundles of building materials at work.

There are many more examples where a cutting tool is required in my daily goings-on. Most of the time some other tool could be found and used but that would be an inconvenient waste of time. It's much easier and faster to just whip out my knife, take care of business and keep moving.

Eh...wot?

I don't carry one, haven't for decades.
I have a couple laying around where they are needed or used. For example, one in the garage where I break down boxes before we take them to the dump.
But I don't carry one. In fact I don't carry anything in my pockets at all on a daily basis. I also don't use or carry a cell phone.

I only put the wallet in my pocket when I go somewhere in the car.
I hate having stuff in my pockets.

what does one need a pocket knife for on a daily basis?

Even when I go fishing I don't have a use for a pocket knife. I carry a hemostat that can cut fishing line and also remove hooks from fishes mouths.

You all remind me of my wife, she has all sorts of junk she carries in her purse. The thing weighs about 5-10 lbs. I tease her about, I call it the samsonite.
She keeps all the stuff in there "just in case". Of course in the 40 some years we have been married she has never had the case come up that used any of the assorted junk that she carries.

Turn in your man card now.

Every time I have come across a cheese cake its been in close proximity to a kitchen, where there are, I don't know all sorts of instruments for cutting various food stuffs.
No need for pocket knife in a kitchen.

In my 60 some years of living I've never had to stab someone inn the throat either.

Silly meme.

It doubles as a punch, screwdriver, and machete at times.

Spend lots of time in the woods, I can't remember the last time I came across something "impaled and needed taking out". Did get a fishing lure in my cheek years ago while fishing alone, couldn't see it obviously so I left it there till I got back to civilization and had it removed then without a knife. Pocket Knife would of been of no use at the time.

I usually wait till I get in the house or workshop to cut something open, no need to open it right here right now.

I carry tools while fishing for cutting line and if I'm using fishing line around the house for other uses I have utility knives stored where the fishing line is stored.

Carry a container with tools used for trapping, in there is a knife. Again I don't need to cut up the rabbit right on the road where I find it, I'd toss it in the vehicle and cut it up later when needed.

All sorts of tools can be used for uses other than designed, again, if I need a punch, screwdriver or machete (don't know when the last time I needed a machete was tho) I have those tools and others in a couple of places that I take things when I need to do work on them.

Pocket knifes are useful when your in a remote place, even then if your going there to do a task take the tools with you that you most likely will need. If a knife is going to be needed take a decent knife for the purpose like filleting a fish rather than a pocket knife. But I don't need to carry a pocket knife if I'm working in the workshop or hanging around the house, or driving around in the car. all places have all sorts of other tools at hand.

This guy wears panties.

I dislike grown men that think wet, heavy, sweat-soaked jeans in summer is cool.
I wear knee length cargo shorts. Loose fitting. My only chance of a smoking hot body will be cremation. I gave up looking cool for anybody else long ago.

Walmarts in Florida that sell insulated hiking boots in the summer. And the people that buy them.
