Anyone use a call lure by a snare, like on a fence post close to the snare. Have so many crawl unders thought this would help getting them to use the one closest to the snare.

Never at the snare. I want them moving not stopping to investigate.

But I will lure a channel, tree or castor mound and hang snares on the approaches to it. Can only snare beaver here.

Just add a little draw station and set away from it thick draws or vegetation will work the best.

I have used call lure in small patches of willow swamps out in the open farm land. I would go in and pack trails in and out late in the fall. Would go in when we had snow in the forecast and hang the trails and put a good dab of lure in the middle of the swamp. Caught quite a few coyote in areas doing this.

I subscribe to the same wisdom as Warrior.
Clint Locklear broke it down in a video after some hog snarers turned him onto it. Big Shane turned on me too and I snared a lot more fur.

Personally, I would have cut it open, ( even if I had to use a chain saw or a saws-all) , before I drug it, but still, you have the best idea yet

Yes bob. Not right close to the snares but with-in 25-30'. It doesn't hurt to get them into the area. I put it high in the crotch of a tree or similar so they have a hard time locating exactly where its at. Keep them in the area looking for the source and they just may take the right trail.

I use them alot after the location starts to realy cool of.
It will get the remaining coyotes, fox, cats ect exited.
