Shorex4 OP trapper S Joined: Feb 2019 Ohio	Boy I remember them giving these to boy scouts for 10-20 bucks a pack in the mid 90s, now they are over $100 in many cases. Was trying to find a framed pack to stuff a trash can in for my teenage sons to use as pack baskets. Guess I'm going to be thrift store shopping for old hiking packs. Any body got a line on cheaper external framed packs? Preferably one I can just stuff a trash can or kitty litter bucket in with an external pocket or two for bait/lure. They have been doing the bucket thing but want a pack as sometimes we walk 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile and the buckets do start hurting the fingers

WI Outdoors trapper Joined: Mar 2023 WI	Get just that pack frame and get the ledge attachment for the bottom. Bungee or zip tie a five gallon bucket to it. No need for the pack.
