To me, her passing just drives home how horrible anxiety and depression (or any mental illness) really is. During the 80s and 90s there was a ton of power house female vocalists and the Judds end up awfully high on my list.

Not to hijack your post, Naomi Judd is surely missed.

Here is one of my favorites from the era. Evidently Highway 101 disbanded, but the super classy little gal is still out there lookin like a million bucks and sounding like 10!

Naomi went thru a tough life of abuse and pulled herself out of it. Went thru nursing college,raised her kids became a hit then contracted hepatitis...ending her career. A ky success story that ended in tragedy. Rip Naomi!

That shouldn't surprise anyone mental illness obviously ran in the family. I think the younger daughter was up on shop lifting charges more than once after she made it big time in the movies.

Yeah she wasn't even all that purdy but she could sing. Ironically I thought Crystal Gayle was the pick of the little but she always recorded pain stakingly slow crap. Her voice and he good looks were 100% tho.

I don't begrudge Juice Newton scoring some big hits but her music was fun. Always wished CG would have sung more like that.
