Happens roughly this time every year.
Bout Dec 5/10 th.
Often see some of the best bucks (that are still alive) this time of year.
Great time to hunt tight funnels in thick cover mid day.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

Yep. I wouldn’t call the area these pics are a funnel, it’s just a drain in some big select cut pines.
All recent pics of bucks were hoping make it though the rest of the season.

What happens in your area? Is rifle over? Archery and flintlock kick in yet?

Archery is still open for 3 more weeks. Muzzle gun ends Sunday.

Buck are now gonna go nuts for a few days. Unbred does (and doe fawns) will cycle again now.
Not as intense as the Nov breeding season but if your lucky enuff to be in an area when it happens, it can be unreal chaos!.

WhiteCliffs that's a cool pic.

For me it's usually right around Thanksgiving when the big ones start showing up more. I think the first wave of does in heat is over and they are seeking again. Our rifle season is always the last week of November/ first week of December which can put the big ones into hiding. The buck I shot today was with a lone doe. I'm speculating she was in heat. It's only a guess because I didn't even know she was there until I shot.
