Back when this Canada goose thing started I would check out bunny hugger websites and they would be showing pictures of snared coyotes to show how cruel Canadian trapping was. Apparently, they believed the coyotes were certified Canadian coyotes that Canada goose was using, not U.S. coyotes. Seems they don't like trapping period.

Please note that as of December 31, 2022, we no longer produce garments with a fur hood as we have gone fur-free. Fur trim items are available until stocks last. ”

When they went public they were toast as far as wild fur.

I remember in 2019 at FHA and NAFA when coyote prices were high due to Canada Goose, the Chinese buyers all had an unusually active interest in the low-end wolves that happened to have similar color patterns to western coyotes.
