Any one have a yaeshu 2 way? I've got a FT 2900R that I loaned to someone and I can't seem to get all my programed channels back.

Had one for years, was a really good radio but eventually went bad after about fifteen years of hard use. By far the longest I've ever had a handheld last. I'm running a Baofeng UV-9R+ now, doubt I'll get the life out of it I did with the Yaesu, but it has more power, is also waterproof, and about a fifth the price.

If that is a Yaesu FT 2900R the manual is here.

If the link above does not work just go to www.yaesu.com and you can find the manual.

it is a 75 watt radio, very good. I have several Yaesu radios, All work great.

RT Systems sells programming software for it and the cable.

Thanks. I got the manual but it is way more smarter then I am. The owner of the shop I bought it from had a stroke so I'm sol for getting any service. Did talk to a guy that sells them but it appears it is a restricted radio and without the proper licensing I shouldn't have it lol.
I can manually enter the frequency I want but a lot of our roads just have channel names. Makes it a real dog breakfast.

Would you be interested in looking at it if I sent it to you? I got no doubt that it is more than likely a sequence of buttons a guy has to push to get it working properly but couldn't say for sure.

The 2900 is a mobile radio, not a handheld. I have two of them and a 2800, the older model. If that is what you have I have preset a bunch of channels in them. I can't tell you off the top of my head how to do it without the radio in front of me to look at the buttons, but if that is what you I'll be able to help. Good radios

Sorry, you never said handheld, I must have been entirely too tired when reading this last night, and the model number didn't even register. I just got a new 2900 a few months ago and programmed all the marine channels into it.

Ed thanks again for your pm. I did a soft reset on it and managed to get back to VFO mode but I'm only able to recall a handful of my programed channels.

Way to much tech in this radio for me.
