I see there's a push to remove a monument for Confederates that fought in the Mexican war....if the news I saw was correct on its meaning.

Regardless of war they fought in, what about it offends people now that it needs removed? Why not go a step further and dig their bones up and remove them if it so offends ya?

I think its being pushed by the democrats, seems this only comes up at election time.

The monument was a symbol of reconciliation (There's actually a whole other thread on this topic on here) erected after former soldiers of the Confederacy offered up their lives again to fight Mexico on behalf of the Union. So your fallen friends are lying next to United States veterans and I am sure all of them would be just fine with that as I doubt they're as bigoted as you.
