New to trapper, me and my kid came across a couple of huge holes near a creek. My 6 year old would be able to crawl down them.

What made these?

What's the best way to set a trap for it?

Look for recently peeled sticks. If you aren't seeing any other obvious sign of beaver, they may not live there any longer.

A 330 conibear trap in that narrow channel will catch any beaver that's in the area
