Bob, The setup that Scuba has is very much like the system I have been using for the last 17 years, with my Timber King b20. If you consider the difference between the structure of the two types of blades (the hook shape, pitch of the teeth and width of the blade), the speed of travel, the set of the teeth, use of water (and addition of Pine Sol in the water), and the type of wood being cut, you will find that the small shoulder will work well on keeping the blade true. Yes variances do happen, but very seldom. I hope that helps to clarify some of the differences. I hope his system works well. Zookeeper

Nice. Pretty cool how you manage to repurpose so much stuff.

Good job, you will have a lot of fun when you get it on a carriage and start cutting some lumber. I wore my gloves out faster sweeping sawdust off as I walked with it looking at the beautiful grain on the logs.

German engineering, very nice I can't wait tell you have time to get it going and make a video of it in action. You have quite a large amount of talent.

Any more progress on this? Thinking of building one myself.

Hey Scuba

By some chance have you ever worked for Pay Pal? I just watched your YouTube regarding your saw build. As I watched it took me back to an issue I had and I contacted PayPal for help. All during the time I was being helped there was a rooster crowing in the background and your video was almost exactly the same background sounds I heard. In my minds eye regarding PayPal was an individual in a grass hut with livestock and a rooster around him and helping me with his computer somewhere non the world!
