My wife and I just got over Covid. I was only really sick one day, and wife about four days.
We did have four shots, most recently in September. We credit them with making our symptoms milder.

Jim Is that what a vaccine is supposed to do?? SMH! Never heard of a vaccine used for "making symptoms milder." ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2023/12/full-11603-201984-screenshot_20231224_132425_chrome.jpg)

If you're inoculated against certain strains of the virus, your antibodies give you some protection against a related strain, i.e. a mutated Covid virus. Works the same for the flu. I haven't had a bad case of flu since I began getting the shots every fall.
You don't have to believe it, if you don't care to. No skin off my butt what you do.

Jim So how does a person measure prevention and "milder"?
How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

Originally, we were told the shots would prevent you from getting the virus. Then when people who had the shots still got the virus, we were told the shot doesn't prevent you from getting the virus, just lessens the symptoms. We were also told that the ones who refused the shots were the ones responsible for spreading the virus. Never a mention of the possible side effects like other medications always admit to.
Wife: That's the 4th time you've gone back for dessert, doesn't that embarrass you? Me: No, I keep telling them it's for you.

Jim I'm middle aged and only got the flu maybe 2 times in my life. Never had a flu shot.

Jim I'm middle aged and only got the flu maybe 2 times in my life. Never had a flu shot. I'm in the same boat, my friend. Never had a flu shot in my life and don't recall ever having the flu. Had a cold for a couple days about 5 years or so ago. On the other hand, my wife got her flu shot every year and got the flu that same year. When she questioned how she could have gotten the flu, they gave her the old cliche, "It's probably a different strain". She stopped getting a flu shot about 5 years ago and hasn't had the flu since. Instead, she takes vitamins and eats healthier.

Jim How many mild strains of smallpox have you had? You know.....as a result of the smallpox vaccine? I bet one or two more shots and you'll be fully vaccinated...as long as you also wear a mask.
