My current bibs are Gander Mountain brand, Gortex. They are almost 20 years old and are in rough shape.
What do you recommend? I'm kinda on a budget, but I know you "buy once, cry once". I want something 100% waterproof and not extremely bulky.

I am listening in to this .Shop is not good for my woolies for everyday stuff not related to hunting fishing or trapping wool for that . Grease ,diesel and dirt is my workday enemy. Carhart for me is the most ill fitting clothing I have .

Most 'gortex' is not insulated. Most very warm clothing is not 100% waterproof. If it is real cold it ain't gonna rain, generally.

I have a nearly new pair of cabelas dry plus/platinum insulated camo bibs in large i would sell. Pretty warm and dry.

I have an old pair of Walls bibs, probably 40 years old, insulated but not waterproof, I only wear them anymore sitting in a goose blind and they're still ok, light rain or snow and your still dry enough. WaterPROOF is a whole other animal, the only TRUE waterproof bibs are commercial fishing type rain gear, a little stiff, no insulation, but you don't get wet, ....from the outside, you will running around and sweating. Very few products that do everything well...
