Walmart batteries are known in the automotive world as Neverstart.
I had a DAKA battery last 13 years in one of my Harleys. I put maintainers on all my vehicles that sit for any length of time that certainly helps !
Near every vehicle has a clock drawing power. And as mentioned your headlights are on while cranking robbing amps.
It’s a lazy man who can’t find his wife a second job !

I just replaced the battery in my truck a couple days ago, in finally bit the dust. It was from 2017, and it was a Walmart battery.
Modern vehicles have a constant draw on the battery, called parasitic draw. It's what keeps the memory in various modules. Normal parasitic draw is less than 50mA. Most vehicles will drop down to less than 20mA. The thing is, though, right after you turn the key off, it's a lot higher-sometimes 3 or more amps. That's hard on a battery, and it's why don't last as long.
Also, as others mentioned, plows are hard on batteries. A plow can draw 200+ amps, and while your alternator might be able to put out that much, they usually can't ramp up that high in an instant, it takes a few seconds. So when you operate your plow, you're basically just running off of the battery. If your battery is weak, your headlights will get dimmer when you work the plow. The weaker the battery, the worse it gets. I've seen where batteries are so weak that the vehicle's battery light comes on each time the plow is operated.

I used to buy lots of Diehards back in the day. They were great. Now I'm not sure with new owners. Interstate battery used to be great , now don't know. Optima used to be top shelf but now are real junk. Currently have a Deka battery in one of my vehicles , fingers crossed been 2 years so far. Very hard to recommend a battery because a lot of the good brands don't preform like they used to a couple years back. YouTube's Scotty Kilmer recommends the Wal-Mart Everstart because he says that all batteries are crap and ya might as well get the cheapest one if they are all crap.

I still buy the Die hard batteries (Red series) from auto zone..i agree they dont match the old ones. had a problem with 2 of them within a yr but i think it was more of under used truck with an electrical drain..Replaced with no problems both times still under warrenty. It's not that hard to build a battery at lest I don't think so Just acid and lead post and a few other . Seems this guy has it down https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNGg0P7B5fI

I've had bad batteries from a variety of different companies.the best luck I've had is with interstate.but there not as good as they used to be either. I have quit using Interstate batteries. Failure rate has doubled in the last 3 years. I have wheel loaders and log trucks that need to run everyday. Old job at 3 golf course resort has switched out 600 interstate golf cart batteries. Crown batteries, I think was the name gave $50 trade on Interstates, not bad when core value is $20 each. Interstate used to be Gold standard for batteries. I wish I could disagree with you about Interstate batteries between selling them and replacing a personal one Monday that had been installed for only a year I can't.
