Tom is one of my favorite authors. He was by far the best editor American Trapper ever had.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Thought he did a great job for "The Trapper" magazine as well, those were some good years in trapping history.

Nobody gets the " American Trapper"? He has an article about mink trapping is the latest issue. Yup, and it was a good article too.

I trapped on a ranch a few years after he did, Bill, Wyoming Bill used to be smack in the middle of my territory. Tom has trapped a ton of country over the years. I saw him about 6 weeks ago as I was coming out of a small loop I was trapping. I'm guessing he was looking for some kitty's to trap.

Yup, he was on Iberlins, there were a good amount of cats there, but iberlin said I had to release them all

T 20, John Iberlins, that can be some brutal country to trap. But the rewards are top quality fur. The Iberlin family owns and ranches100s of thousands of acres from east of Bill to Buffalo. I used to run from Buffalo to Gillette on down to just north of Douglas. And also in the Big Horn bason. Back in my youthful days.

Pretty sure he was the original publisher of “The Trapper” as well. Actually he was the editor back then. The publisher was Chuck Spearman, who wasn’t even a trapper when it started. I believe that Tom was either the first or second editor that Chuck hired, but Chuck owned the paper until it was sold to Krause Publications. That paper came along at the right time, as it made a millionaire out of Chuck, when he sold it when the getting was good. Before that, Chuck was just a small town newspaper man!

I was there 94-97 I think, worse part was the twelve mile dirt road to his place from bill
