walleyed had his 2nd heart catheterization yesterday morning,
(1st on was in 2017 when they installed 5 stents).

Yesterday they found a good sized blockage where they had
already previously installed 2 stents in 2017
along with findings two major lesions.

They used a balloon on a wire up the artery from my wrist
to access the spot, along with some kind of sonic wave gizmo
to pummel the calcium plaque out of the way to install two much
larger stents.

Every time the Doctor hit the trigger on that sonic wave thingy I could
feel the snapping/clicking sound & feeling in my brain.

It was kind of spooky & un-nerving but I made it through in
good shape with no stroke, major bleeding, or cardiac event.

The Doc put me on PLAVIX & 81 mm aspirin for a month.

This morning the doctor called & directed me to take seven (7)
PLAVIX pills at once in addition to the one I had already taken
earlier in the morning.

Can't use my right arm for a week & no lifting over 50 lbs for a month.

Don't yet feel any different (positively) but feel very tired.

Time to go lay down & take another nap.

walleyed

I'm glad you made it through that in good shape. I think I would be a bit nervous going through that. It's amazing what they can do these days.

Yes the wrist entry is SOOO much better than the groin. Good time of year to be laying around. Good luck and glad they fixed it. What it might have caused you don't get a chance to fix.....

With all the trappers having heart problems, me included, it disproves the anti's claim that we are heartless. Take care walleyed and good luck coyote addict.

Wide awake & Laying on my back, on a VERY narrow,
and VERY short table for me at 6' foot, 3" inches.

The OP room prep nurse started bi-aching cause she couldn't
center me on the table.

She wanted me to sit at a certain place on the table, and
then lie down on my back & when I informed that her if I did,
I'd be hanging head & shoulders off the end of the table
but she insisted so down I went, and sure enough I was
hanging 2 feet off the end with her very near coming unglued
when the end result proved her very wrong.

It took her & 6 other nurses, to get me re-situated on the
table with a lot of wailing & gnashing of teeth by her for
"my" (her) mistake for being wrong.

Then they tape your arm/hand to a board to immobilize it
and you get some sort of sedative to chill you out but you
are wide awake, but the robotic equipment arm blocks your
view of the action.

Worst thing is eventually you have to scratch an itch on your
face or head but your hand is immobilized and the other one
has two IV's buried in the back of your hand & arm.

I have (2) bad hip sockets and laying on my back
agitates the nerves so there was that too.

The doc eventually sent a nurse to itch my eyelid & temple
to relieve my itch so all was good after a half hour
of itch torture.

Everything went fairly well. LOL !!! laugh

Lol glad it went smoothly. Freaks me out thinking about stuff like that. Seems like every man is having procedures like that.
