I'd maybe like to sell a couple used firearms, in order to afford the purchase of a decent set of binoculars.

how does one find the fair market value of a used firearm?

these might have some "collector" value.

Thanks.

The Blue Book of Gun Values is a great place to start. I believe that is the name of the source. I haven’t bought one in a long time as I no longer sell any of them.

Go to gunbroker and search "Completed auctions", not stuff currently for sale. There will be quite a spread on prices so ignore the high and low end stuff.

I have nothing clever to put here.

gun broker completed auctions , watch the date also

prices can change in a year or two based on who goes under or stops production on something.

if your selling local it may not go as high as gun broker but it gets you an idea of what examples sell for

hit a local gun shop pick a few out used then go look them up on gun broker to see where the market is where you are.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Gun broker see what people are asking and what they are selling for.

Better be buying some Swaro’s if you’re selling some guns. I guess in reality I should probably unload some pistols to fund my current rifle building habit.

Our farm auctioneer can get 3-4x the going price for a firearm. I've seen nasty old 12 gauge's go for $350 to $400. 22's going for $300+. They don't do background checks on long guns so every criminal is there to buy them. Sometimes the prices are astonishing.

Not that much higher, but there are locals that buy off gun broker and such until they have a hundred or so and then have an auction.

Maybe our areas are the exception, but that's how it is.
