I find myself with about 50, 3/8” rebar stakes that are five foot long. Will the clips that are used on the 3/8” fiberglass fence posts work on the rebar ? And what are they called , spring clips, rat clips ??? Who sells them ?

They are called the Hagz spring clip or the Hagz bracket. Pretty much every trapping store sells them.

No , I’m talking about the thing that looks like a wire wrapped around the post and bent out to slide through the coil springs on a 1.5 .

This is a Hagz bait holder, are you thinking of something like this except it’s straight instead of having the bend on the end.

Schmitt enterprises sells them but don’t work with rebar. They are made for fiberglass. Hagz are easier to set in my opinion I have both and they will work on rebar

I had some boards made years ago that worked with long springs and a bait spike. I might have to see if I can remember how those were made.
Thanks for all the replies.

I added a piece of flat stock to the cross frame on some 1 1/2 long springs. I had to file them down to fit the slot in the Hagz bracket. They worked as well as other traps.
