My wifey had it done while still in the hospital after our fifth baby. She had the banding done, and one side had to be cauterized too because the band wouldn't position quite right. Everything still works quite nicely, I can say.

Safer and easier for the man to be snipped. Tubes tied is better to do if the dr is already in there. At least that's how it used to be. Because of Obamacare, insurance companies are required to cover birth control including female sterilization, at 100% They aren't required to cover vasectomies though. That's why my wife got her tubes tied, even though I was willing to get snipped.

Things can go wrong with any surgery. Especially vasectomies where they run you through like cattle and make money/head. Whatever you decide, pay the extra money and DO NOT go to a large hospital to have it done or one of those in and out clinics. Go to a practiced professional that are either OBGYN or male doctor stuff professionals. One on one.
Not everyone is plumbed the exact same way, and those places with high volumes treat everyone as a parts changing station or a diesel deletion without attention to other details. My procedure went horribly wrong. Messed up everything; my wife and I regret it immensely. Would give anything to do it over. I tell everyone I know thinking about getting snipped to not do it. Wife and I both agree that protection for a few years would have been way worth it.

Dr.L "Pete would you mind if we had some nursing students assist/watch?" ahh I ok sure , next thing I know some is 5
had it done when we were 3&2 just wife just couldn't do another miscarriage had 3 healthy kids and burried 2
just don't do it the week before hunting season and you plan to walk all day in a week.

Anyone get their tubes tied? I have been contemplating it for a while. Have been on the pill for twenty years and that CANT be good. I’ve heard horror stories about IUD’s. I’m just worried that things will change and my “plumbing” won’t work the same! If any females out there have had this done, please PM me. Also husbands who aren’t embarrassed…..if your wife consents, please let me know how they handled the procedure and if everything still “works”!!! Chris had it done year’s ago with no problems

My wife had it done. No issues.
