If I was to use a stretcher for a case skinned cougar I would use a timber wolf split board along with a head spacer with 2 -3 close pins maybe as needed:

I got to keep it, had two people that wanted it, made a deal and I got to keep the meat! There was another one this year that I helped G&F with, that one was starving and took to staying under a persons porch, there wasn't enough fat on her to fry her ears! Where I live there are thousands of acres that there is no harvest of Cougars,(state parks and wildlife area). I trap on a small place that acts like a funnel, trappers can spot these locations and some houndsmen , anyway a lot of animals move through here.
