For Drifter.
He's got Covid. I know Covid's not that big of a deal for most people nowadays but he's also got advanced COPD so he's pretty high risk.
We've both been sick for 2 weeks now. I tested positive for Flu B but negative for Covid this past Monday. He hasn't been to the doctor since they didn't give me anything, we've just been doing over the counter meds. He hasn't been able to eat anything for almost 3 days though and slept almost around the clock for 72 hours. This morning he woke up and said he was worse so we went to the ER, where they diagnosed him with Covid.
The good news is they let him go home. Tried to prescribe him Paxlovid but neither the VA nor Medicare covers it apparently and it was gonna cost $1200 if paid out of pocket for a 5 day supply. Called the Dr. back and she said not to worry about it as she didn't think it would make much difference anyways. So Mucinex-DM and Zyrtec is what she recommended.
He doesn't seem too awful bad to me, other than the not eating and all the sleeping, but I know a few prayers could never hurt.
Thanks in advance.

Wow. I hate hearing that. Sleep is probably better than medicine. I hope he is better soon.

Sent. Some good home made bone broth really helped me and some family when we had it..also getting out in the sun for a bit seem to help too. Hope y'all feel better soon I made some homemade chicken soup last weekend and we both had been going out to sit in the sun everyday for a little while before all this rain set in. May have to give the bone broth a try.
