Working on traps and thought I’d share an old first gen mb750 that I’ve had for a long time. Still catching beaver though.. square pan , slightly different pan post and different base set up.[Linked Image]

Dad gave me a trap just like that back in the early 90s. I probably have it out in the shed somewhere.

I asked Tim when that trap was made and this was his reply...

Paul, that was actually the second generation brought out late 1994. The first generation had pins through the jaws to lock the jaws down. Those were first made in 1993 but not sold until early 1994. Your Dad was very helpful with improvements over the years.

From the bosses description I’ve got some of the first. Could I be right in buying those in the 80’s?

What Paul quotes says "The first generation had pins through the jaws to lock the jaws down. Those were first made in 1993 but not sold until early 1994." So I am not sure you had any in the 1980's. But maybe you did.

I’m sure you all are right Mark, i started trapping a lot more about 88 with the guy who taught me and bought a lot of traps then. Must have bought those 750’s. Later as noted.
