Hard to go wrong with a '64 1/2 - '66. Convertable Mustang. Easy to care for , parts readily available.
One thing to think about , any classic car can get expensive to maintain/restore unless you know how to do it yourself. I've watched many non-car people spend boatloads of cash having other people maintain their classic car.
Most classic cars are owned/restored by car guys.
Most classic cars sell for less than what it costs to restore one. It is a labor of love. Brand loyalties aside, those Mustangs are overrated. They are a glorified Ford Falcon with different skin on them. Yes, there is a huge following for them, but there is also a huge following for Al Qaeda. LOL, 52 Carl!

Very nice mustang! While I can surely appreciate 60’s and 70’s muscle, I have shared many of the same circles as hippie for the last 35 years or so. The dirt sprint car division now running cylinder heads @ 295cc intake runners, the fuel injection on these things(alcohol), have 3” stacks that you can drop a baseball in, the small block Chevy really isn’t a small block Chevy any more in Hippie and I’s world. Sorry Hippie, I guess the MOPAR and ford stuff have came a long too! 😜😂
life is good......

Chicks (girls) always drove Mustangs, boys drove Camaro's....Men drove Mopars!

Hippie, I always tell all my mopar friends…..I’d rather have no car than a mopar! . I hear ya! Most chevy's didn't have the power to do a good burn out and we called them "chirppers". The wheel hop they had made a chirps chirp chirp sound from the wheel hop. Then they started putting traction bars on them, some goofy looking deal that REAL cars didn't need!

Years ago I owned a '71 Mercury Cougar with a 351 Cleveland. Blue with a white top. Years ago I owned a 67 Mercury Cyclone GT convertible. It originally came with a 390 but didn't have an engine when I bought it. I put my 351 Cleveland in it. It was tan and white.
Eh...wot?

Not too shabby I always liked the Firehawk package on that model. What are you doing to it?
