that is not a good price on 9mm it is the one I watch the most it isn't awful just nothing special. about the same as most stores , Midway has Blazer 9mm right now for 14 a box Freedom is at 11.40 a box and they offer free shipping about 2-3 times a month or 5 dollar flat shipping https://www.freedommunitions.com/9mm-luger-124-gr-rn-reman-fm.htmlthere are lots of guys at gun shows who bought up ammo often you can see boxes are old labels and they want a premium because they are looking for a sucker. I go to some gun show mostly to work them and I hardly ever buy ammo at shows hardly a deal in years they do the same powders jacked up my local dealer has a decent supply at the movement and every size of primers his prices are typically fair and 40-45 a pound is about the going rate. Primers are 89-98 a K the 100 round boxes of 22lr CCI mini mags are running 10.99 a lot of the ammo dealers at gun shows are trying to push the panic to promote their prices hoping that you don't shop around a box of 20 rifle rounds in 30-30 , 308 , 30-06 , 243 hunting are running 25-30 for most of your non premium stuff. if you want lead free that stuff costs more farm and fleet and fleet farm have a decent selection on a lot of hunting rifle ammo lately

Know person who works for Hogdon Powder, called them for Sami specs, for the 22 ARC, using there powders. He said, inert ingredients, from China, has been cut back, imagine that. Powder has increased over 30%, around here. I bought an estate sale, that had 200 lbs., sold everything but the Varget, H 4350, & H 380. Got 10,000 primers I split with person who went in on the sale with me. Didn't bid on the ammo lots, they sold high I thought. My average for the powder, was resonable compared to the powder prices, that powder is selling for now since the shot show. Still not seeing many large rtifle primers, and small primers have come down some. He also said, that ammo prices, will increase in the near future. As stated above powder is selling 50/72 plus. Last powder I bought was averaging 35/ 45 lb. all the powder in the estate sale was 8 lb I'm looking for more Lapua 22 center x. My main supplier, stated waiting on it to arrive.

Powder has increased over 30%, around here. I don't think powder is going to get any cheaper. Small primers have came down in price but large primers are not there. Lead styphnate, the critical ingredient to make modern primers comes from overseas. Namely China and Russia. We, (the USA), have no internal supply or resource. Seems like all the old time U. S. powder companies have been bought out by an international company in Czechoslovakia. (I wonder if George Soros might have his hand in this, but them I'm kind of a conspiracy theorist.) With all the world turmoil, governments are topping off their munitions. Which will take precedence over any civilian sales. So.......I say get what you want while you can.........................

Osagian, I agree, I'm stocking up on anything, that I use alot. Have been restocked with primers for several years. I'm buying bullets now, when the sales, come up. i bought 4 lb, jug of Vith N 140, 2 weeks ago, and I've shot there powder for years in my pistols, and it was aways higher priced then all other powders. N 140 shoots excellent in my M 14 E 1, and S 10 , gas rifles. Now Vith, at present , is cheaper then any powder. Betting that changes soon. Probably called a hoarder, but I will be able to shoot, when I want and as much as I want. I don't resale, only trade, for something I need for reloading. But thinking like yourself, better buy now before the gouging, and shortage appears again.

A few years back, I decided to take my own advice.....to gain ability to reload it all. (except 22 LR). That ammo shortage would be my last ammo shortage. So around here, if it goes BANG, it can be reloaded. At current usage rates, my lifetime and beyond. And each piece has it's own components allotment that goes with it.
What eventually occurred to me was components stash was out of balance. More powder than primers or bullets to match. So when I buy now, it is filling in the gaps. Primers and powders in balance to start, bullets or shot next and spent cases or brass to follow.
Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.

Back when Al Gore ran for pres. a bunch of members of our gun club were (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) about prices and shortages. They didn't understand when I told them I never bought less than an 8 lb jug of powder and 5000 primers at a time, and keep adding to their reserve, and that they needed to do the same for all their different loads. This has happened at about every election cycle since. Some people are grasshoppers & some are ants.

Don't cast bullets but can do buckshot and Lee slugs. And might even have 500 pounds of lead ingots from wheel weights laying around somewhere. I might be mistaken about that.
In 9mm, a pound of powder is good match for a brick of primers and 1,000 bullets. Got carried away snagging powder. Currently way short on primers and bullets to be able to use the powder.

8 pounder from the local gun store the other day. It was on sale for $260!! Powder companies have been working hard lately. Made in the USA!
