I am no expert at all but I could see things being manipulated to very low interest in October intentionally so that people with a short memory have lost it by the seconds Tuesday in November.
if it then jumped to 10% by January again wouldn't be that surprised.
it would tell you just how much of market manipulation is to buy a vote.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

it would tell you just how much of market manipulation is to buy a vote. Between now and election under report the CPI, job growth etc and then "revise" a month or two later after the election if at all. That would give the Fed cover to lower rates.

If the DNC could control interest rates maybe. But they can't .
Remember.......Powell is a Republican but I don't think he lets that interfere with what he believes is the right course of action. The Fed's main purpose is to manipulate the economy / money supply. That alone dictates that they will not always be truthful or unbiased......don't underestimate the (potential) level of corruption in the Swamp.

On the up side if you have a saving account you can get 5 Percent plus in todays market. I dont remember that return on a normal savings since i took my bank book as a kid in the 70's into the bank and they would write my interest in the book for me. So much nicer to log in and see balance and interest these days.

Things are too volatile, not just in our country but worldwide to make any predictions that far out. Powell is trapped in a corner, if he lowers rates it will spark more inflation and if he increases rates banks will start to fail. Powell only has so many tools in his bag but the fact is he has no control over the out-of-control spending in the swamp.

I refinanced a few years ago. A ten year mortgage at 1.875%. That is below the inflation rate. Did it all online. You're pulling a ten year mortgage at your age?

I’ll take 3% anytime now. If you saw interest per day our our line of credit you’d faint. 10% seems more realistic
Everything the left touches it destroys

PCE came in high been expected.
I'd lay authors just as good a chances of interest rate increase as there is a cut
