Just getting into an area I trap for the first time this year and it’s exactly the way I like it! No tracks! I am the first and only one out here!



I don’t care what’s in front of me. I point my sled and go!

Getting the first Marten/Fisher traps set.

First Wolf of the year! Feels good to catch one!


I don’t really like catching Weasels. But they have some value, so I’ll take it. He’s a nice one too!

Fisher by the nose. You can see what happens to Marten boxes when you leave them in the bush. Bears find them and rip them apart.
I bring them home now at the end of the season!


Here’s a raccoon with quite the snare damage.

I’ll try to fix that by cutting my window through it. Better off with a larger window than damage above it.



Bobcat/Lynx cross. We’ll call it a Bobcat and hope it sells good at FHA!


The smallest Fisher I’ve ever caught. Its fur was also kinda shaggy. Weird!


Back to catching Marten again!

I bought a few of these fur hangers this year. A lot nicer than having a bundle of fur hanging from a string!
Going to make a few more myself from a coat hanger.

Good year, that cat is wicked! The coons were out quite often with this stupid weather. Unfortunately out of the 4 wolves I got, 1 was so bad I tossed it, hair falling out. In hind site, I shoulda kept the shoulders & up to tan myself for something, but I did keep the claws, skull & tail. I’m guessing the ones at your place turned out ok besides the damaged nose?
