ETex, I just couldn't imagine a gator in a trap or snare. Or trapping with venomous snakes. Newfox, you guys are making me jealous. Looks like a great place for a rest against the beautiful pine. Just think of how many critters have used that tree in its life. Also how many will still find it home in its long growth in an uncut forest. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2024/03/full-53947-211533-img_20240313_110415.jpg) Picked up a nice blanket today. I'm just running two traps, so I was happy

NF, a few more days and I'm going to look for a tree like yours to sit down next to and relax. Love that pic! I had another gangbuster day today. 19 beaver and 1 nutria from 24 traps. Don't have mud's white drop cloth so green grass will have to do.

wow I wish they would start moving around here. I am only getting 1-2 maybe from my 8 Minnesota river sets. Still plenty early I think. I have had to resort to going to small ponds and streams and really searching for sign to get them. I do get alot of calls from the farmers/landowners to get them out of there ditches and ponds which helps. My 50+ beaver goal isn't looking very achievable right now with only 12 in the freezer. I am a diehard and will keep going tho

I don't think I've ever seen a whole tree of that size slicked up. Must be quite a few, or a bigun in there!

Nice catch BP what’s your total now ? You'll have to wait until tomorrow when I report my season total for the beaver contest. LOL

NF good to see you're out there having fun. What species of tree did they yum up in that pond?
Yukon, you should see some of the cottonwoods that are about 3 ft diameter all slicked up after falling into the river. Not just the main trunk but all the side branches as well.
