Bottom over top on the back legs means your brush wont grab a flap when brushing. The fronts you can do either way since they can be nailed side over side.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

I always work on the assumption that pulling leg-holes towards the outside of the pelt is desired to make a larger block of fur.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Thanks Boco for explaining it . I always work on the assumption that pulling leg-holes towards the outside of the pelt is desired to make a larger block of fur. That how I always look at it that’s why I pulled them to the outside . I still got 6 in the freezer to put up I will pull them from the bottom to the top and see how that works.

I have the darndest time with legs, but back over front (on the skin side) is how I nail back legs. I tie front legs and cut them off after a day or two. Just how I do it, I'm not a seasoned vet by any means though.
Act like a blank, get treated like a blank. Insert your own blank!

Somewhere back 8+ years ago, a guy recommended using hog castration bands for the leg holes. The pliers were probably kind of expensive, but the holes closed up nicely.
Never too old to learn

It still doesn't matter. Unless you are doing It for show and tell.
