Nope, I've seen scrapes open year round.
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

The scrapes ( on the ground) aren't being used this time of year much, it's the licking branch above it that get the attention.
And will almost 100% be in a spot where deer trails tend to congregate.

Last week I saw a 6 point that hadn't shed his rack. Rack looked healthy. I thought it was kinda late for that. It is crazy to me how long bucks keep their antlers down south. By the third week of December the majority are cherry topped here.

Was really surprised by the number of scrapes we have been seeing while running the maple sugaring line this year. Completely snow free this year.
