Dirt they are furred out but in the upper Snake region where I am at we fight deep snow where trying to keep traps running is all but impossible. 500+ plus inches a winter is the norm. I wish I could say what I want to but it would definitely get me booted. I have nothing but good things to say for the ITA and Rusty and know he will keep fighting these lawsuits. We need to quit bickering and work together or for sure will fall like CO,OR,WA,and a few other states. Believe me, I was living in CO when the ani-trapping bills came out and all the (Sportsman) were so busy fighting each other and beating their chests that it was passed without incident.

That’s a bit of snow to deal with! So you were trapping earlier & later to try n manage the population.

I shot a couple wolves up in that country years back. I cannot imagine trying to trap in those winter conditions, snaring would be nearly as impossible were it allowed. The ungulates up in that panhandle just can’t catch a break. If, and I say if there is any shortage of wolves in those areas it’s because they’ve eaten themselves out of house and home not because of any hunting or trapping pressure. Judges should learn to stick to what they actually know or discover honestly instead of becoming political pawns. Osky

I would guess ungulates leave places that get 500 inches of snow. Here they do , or they die. Hopefully the grizzly delisting works out.

Dirt they migrate down in the desert country in mid November, the area I am in the state closes the entire big desert for winter feeding grounds so no human entry till late April/may. I normally try and move with the herds and snowmobile on the upper edge of timber and sage on the FS ground. The moose are what takes the biggest hit every winter since they normally don't move down like the deer and elk. This ruling has been being fought for a while and the antis keep hitting harder every time. The areas I used to trap up north has become so populated its getting ridiculous, the out of state realtors are right now trying to build a larg private airport.

I think you might be surprised how hi and in how much snow the moose will put up with in that country. Elk move down into those cuts along the Clearwater river. The wolves of course picked up on this in the first 30 seconds and over the course of a couple winters and spring calving periods devastated those elk herds. Osky

Judges don’t know anything, they listen to two opposing arguments and decide which one is most politically correct and base they’re ruling on what fits their agenda.
Fixed it for you Boco .
No justice is blind.I stand by my statement before you changed it.What you said is what sore losers say. If you have a corrupt or bias judge then that is a different problem and an appeal is the option. Having a good lawyer/advocate/lobbyist is much more relevant.

Such expertise on American judges- who knew?Dont you know why the lady justice(Justitia) has scales and a blindfold? And what criteria do you believe is required to be knowledgeable? You think only Americans are Knowledgeable about American issues because you are not knowledgeable about other countries? That is telling. Justitia and Prudentia predate the the USA by a few centuries, lol.
