I've anchored with a few different things but usually a railroad plate or concrete block. I've also cabled to over hanging limbs . ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2024/03/full-53947-212601-img_20231218_145005.jpg) In the white PVC I like to put in a plug of sheepwool with castor on top. Sometimes a poplar stick instead. I also put a mudpie in the middle V

Do you have any problems with beaver climbing up onto the side (avoiding the body grip at the rear)?

Never noticed a problem. Have read other people that do on this site. I set mine in current or wedged up to a bank and maybe that is the difference

with the price of pvc and fittings ,it would de about 25.00 a float, without anything else! I'd only have to buy the caps. got some scrap 1.5 & 2" available.

I found out last spring that if there wasn’t current, the thing would sometimes be spun right around. Will have to jam sticks in to keep it pointing in the intended direction. Looks good Dahlgren. I’ll bet you by next weekend I might be able to try em out.

Any snare floats?
And footholds? Live beavers would wreck your floats.
