Got a problem with one of my little Cornish cross chicks. It had a case of pasty butt today, and the little girls got it cleaned up. But this evening it's butt is all swollen and pink, and feels plump, like a balloon. I rodded it out, so to speak, with the tip of a q-tip. It seems to be in distress, it just wants to lay and pant and not walk around.. Is there anything I can do for this chick, besides just put it out of its misery?

Quarantine it from the other chicks and as stated above, see if it makes it til morning.
Losing one chick is better than losing the whole lot of them.
Ya can't be scared all of your life

I ended up giving it the roto-rooter treatment again with a q-tip, and it pooped 2 times that I saw, after that, so it's not plugged up. It looked maybe a little better this morning, but if it's still not doing well tonight, it's gonna go bye bye. It's by far the largest chick of the 13 I got, so I'm wondering if it just ate itself silly.
