Anyone using a mobile printer for your invoices? I'm looking at trying to have a more professional look to my invoices, also tracking exactly what we did at the location. Would also like to be able to make estimates or bid jobs right from the truck. Should also make the state paperwork easier maybe. I see several apps on my phone for these but they really don't show the total cost or if its by per invoice or what. I prefer to just set up my laptop and not have the app.

What are your experiences with any of this? Thanks for any help

PDF file a word document from the laptop. Once in pdf it's easy to pull up on the phone.

I’ve made a template that I have on my tablet, fill it out with each customer name and details etc then email it to them and save a copy myself. Most people don’t want paper invoices or paper anything it all goes in the trash anyway. Digital is the way to go

Our software handles contracts, invoices, and work orders. A good software package really simplifies everything from scheduling to accounts receivables.

I use an app called joist. It's professional and easy to use. I think kit costs about $140 year. Check it out.

Quickbooks online here. Can make invoices and e-mail or print from phone or computer. I still go oldschool too, with those carbon copy forms. Sometimes a pen and paper is just quicker. I'll transfer later to the computer and the customer will generally get the professional invoice, not the hand-written one.
