Just left the fire go out for the season about a week ago. It's been going since last October. Only going into the low 40's tonight. I think I'll wait until tomorrow evening to light another one. They're calling for high 30's Saturday overnight.
Eh...wot?

I’d build one in the fire pit but the wind is crazy like always. Nice looking setup
Everything the left touches it destroys

Grilled my first pizza of the year tonight. Apparently, should have cleaned the ole gas grill prior to preheating to 450. Pretty sure, it broke 1,000 before I extinguished the flames. Sooo, we had a fire. Fortunately, shut 'er down and cleaned it up and had a nice, perfectly cooked pizza in the end.

While were sitting out in the backyard today it crossed my mind to light a fire, but it was just too darn hot at eighty.

Thursday nite was our last fire of the heating season till next fall. Time to cut up the logs laying behind the workshop, split and stack them in the outdoor lean-to and filling the storage in the house garage so that we are ready to go next fall. From now till then we will run the furnace. It'll be the first time its been used since early last fall for those occasional frosty nights, before we fired up the wood burner for the heating season.

I almost built one yesterday. The granddaughter was going to help me. i even had her check to see if there was newspaper in the drawer for lighting it.
Then the power went out and I got distracted getting the genny fired up. One thing led to another and soon it was evening and I had still not built a fire.
I said the heck with it and ran the furnace overnight. Going up to 70 today.
I'm thinking no more fires until October.
Eh...wot?
