Nuclear contractor. I wear a few different hats in the nuclear field. Mostly, I test safety valves/systems and work with engineering to troubleshoot and fix valve related issues. I'm coming up on the 20 year mark in that field.

Powerlineman with Manitoba Hydro. 20 years. Just got out of a 1 year temp office job, now back in the field scoping out trapping areas where I belong. Guys ask why I don’t take a nice office job, Eng technician or something, higher pay grade. I tell them that I can’t afford the $70000 pay cut….no OT. I tell the engineers that I can always “fall back” to Eng tech if my body gives out…they don’t like that..hahaha
Wind Blew, crap flew, out came the line crew
