Not going to argue about the bikers !

Whatever

I do know the weekend before Coyote Days last year, my friend that owns one of the motels in Lusk had 3 rooms rented to bikers

That was week before

Anyone else that doesn’t want to travel that weekend because of leftovers from Sturgis 2 weeks prior, there’s no need to worry, trust me

maybe in Lusk but I would avoid the hills around deadwood and sturgis for any length of time. Not sure about the 2 hrs your direction John. Also Im sure others it doesnt bother. My yrs in the hills it was a bother to me. Others maybe not. Have a great coyote days.

Yeah, The Black Hills is busy all summer, very tourist oriented of course

That being said, our youngest daughter got married at a wedding venue we rented near Hill City last year, the weekend following Coyote Days.

I was a bit apprehensive about the bike traffic, but from what I saw, there was more people at other events along the way

The T-shirt shops and other fudge and coffee shops were busy too

It’s the Hills for sure

One other factor to consider is that Nebraska apparently has a helmet law for bikers, so they tend to avoid there I’ve been told

Anyone traveling on Hwy 20 from the east will come by the Museum of the Fur Trade in Chadron, Ne., as well as Fort Robinson at Crawford Nebraska, which are both ‘must see’ places as mentioned many times before

I still think your son would enjoy it! But, Sioux Falls is closer for you, maybe see you in July there?

When I attended Coyote Days two years ago I didn’t see any bikers other than what would be in a normal summer day with maybe a few pasig through typically of anywhere in the United States. What do you have against bikers? 99.9% are not Hells Angels type.

Even when the first coyote days was held the same weekend as the Sturgis rally, I didn’t see any 1% in town. Just regular bikers passing thru.

And, it has been confirmed that Otis Latham is attending again this year, and is bringing stretchers with him.

I’ve had a lot of inquiries about his stretchers and where to buy them the last few years.

This would be a chance to pick some up, and save the shipping costs too
You can get ahold of him through PM, he goes by ColoradoCat I believe

I’m sure someone will post his number if needed

Thanks John! It would sure help me if any of you needed boards to pre-order them. Then you can make sure to get what ya want.

Im still making coyote boards, cat boards come in 3 sizes, X-large,Large,small. Large toms go on the large, everything else on the small. Red fox boards, and grey fox boards.

Its easier to call me, but text gets better response. 970-812-7473.

Depending on how much room I have, I will bring some of my other creations as well. Everyone needs a chainsaw carved bear or eagle im thinking!

I’m not a predator trapping person but it would be worth the drive to hear John Barnum give a demo. I’ve known him for probably close to 30 years and I’ve never heard him say more than 10 words at one time!! LOL

He is one heck of a cat trapper. Limits out every year in eastern Oregon. And has more OTC top lot and fur handling awards than you can count.

Lots of other great trappers on the list also. Another great line up for sure.

John Graham- I see you will be doing a demo at the national convention in South Dakota. Are you going to have a booth or space selling lures, etc?

Yes, adding John Barnum to the demo list was an opportunity that I didn’t want to miss !

Mitch, the last I heard, they were sold out of booth space. I’m bringing lure and stuff to deliver to dealers, and orders for individuals. If you want me to bring something, PM me ahead, or call us, and I’ll bring it with me and we can meet up -Thanks

Thanks for the complement Nancy. Have some small things and ideas I have learned over the years from cats that I have missed or lost that have led to how I set now.. Have never heard or read about the ideas. Time to speak.up.and let people agree or.disagree. My plan is to get watchers to.think, more than just show how. Should have something to.look at in the end too. Just hope I can get it out. Kind of bashful.

Les Johnson will be setting up his Predator Quest booth and will have a lot of Hornady Ammo on hand, as well as PQ hoodies, calls, and other things for sale too
