I did this with a can of coke! Just wrap them around the crock pot and add a can of Coca Cola and you can add some water if you need to. Prob low for 8 hours. If you go longer than that it’ll all fall apart and you won’t be able to put them under the broiler or on the grill and BBQ sauce em up…but you could make pulled pork sammiches if that happens.
Another recipe suggested using root beer but it was gross. And I LoVE root beer

Oh wait country style ribs are just hunks of pork right? Not a rack ?
If you slather them in yellow mustard overnight it’ll tenderize them. Then add cumin and chili powder and paprika and pepper and garlic powder

I make them in the oven. I make up my own dry rub. Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel and rub with the seasoning on all sides. Place in a glass pan lined with tinfoil. Cover the top with another piece of tin foil. Low and slow is the key. Two hours at 300 degrees covered with the foil. Take them out and brush with your favorite bbq sauce. I like to use Sweet Baby Rays. Put back in the oven for another hour at 275 uncovered.

I always tell everyone the recipe is real flexible…if she doesn’t like ribs, just go with the dry rub!

I like to throw them on a hot grill for a few minutes to sear and burn off some of the fat and add a little extra flavor, then put in crockpot with your favorite bbq sauce. I find country style ribs super greasy if slow cooked from a raw state.

I do not use much liquid to mine, 4 oz or less,'

I like to use mustard and rub on country style ribs, Pretty sure that they are cut from a butt anyway.

Put a paper towel under the lid for the last hour or three for a drier consistency

I prefer to broil them myself. Country style ribs is just pork shoulder, butt, thick sliced and tends to be well marbled/fatty. In a crockpot it renders down and gets a bit greasy for my taste.

Instead I season mine with onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper, maybe a dash of cayenne or smoked paprika or chipotle. Broil five minutes a side until done but the key is the baste. Equal parts lemon juice/cider vinegar liberally spritzed on with a bottle sprayer at each turn. I do this with bbq pork as well since it cuts through and helps render off the fat so it's doesn't turn out greasy.

I throw them in my electric smoker. Dry rub is my preference with some sauce on the side.

I do them on a firepit with a dry rub and baste them with real maple syrup.

Hot cast iron pan salt and pepper, sear them brown. Put them in the crockpot with couple big sliced onions. Dump a jar of sauerkraut over the top cover them let it go.

What Mac said.

Optionally, and prepared exactly the same way, substitute a creamed soup like cream of mushroom or cream of celery for the kraut.
